GROWING A MOVEMENT OF EVERY DAY GENEROSITY

It's amazing to see God's creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day. People connected with Jericho generously give their time, service, talents, and treasures through so many acts of worship, and we invite you to join us in our movement of every day generosity!

Whether it be donating wheelchairs for Guatemala, serving with volunteer teams on the weekend, using text-to-give, or dropping cash or cheques into the offering. Each and every act of generosity matter and helps change the lives of others. Everyone's gifts and service are acts of worship that truly bring us all closer to our Creator!    - Pastor Brad

Capital Campaign

In the fall of 2018, Jericho moved into our current space on 64 Ave with a vision to provide security of tenure and community impact for the long-term.  We are currently in the midst of a three-year capital campaign where we are raising the necessary funds to renovate and fund the building's transformation from a Bible College into a vibrant hub for our ministry.

Why Give?

As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly to the progress of the gospel in our community and world. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honoring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.

What is Tithing?

Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organizations and causes that we personally believe in.

Is Online Giving Secure?

Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule recurring donations, or view your giving history, you can do it all online. It’s quick, easy, and secure. Both Push Pay and Jericho Ridge maintain full Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance via the SecurityMetrics PCI Certification Program, which means your data is rigorously protected through the industry's strictest equipment safeguards and security protocols. That means you can give with confidence!

Please note that when you give with a credit card, MasterCard and Visa get to keep their piece of the pie so while you are receipted for the full amount, JRCC does not receive the full amount.  We recommend that if you are giving a larger amount or if you are planning on giving this way regularly, that you either top up slightly (for example, give $105 instead of $100) or choose a different method of giving (for example, a gift made via debit only costs us five cents no matter the amount).

How does Text-to-Give work?

We have partnered with a company called Pushpay to receive donations online or on your phone.

To start giving on your smart phone, simply text the word "JERICHO" to 77977 and you will receive a link to JRCC's custom giving page.

When you send 'JERICHO' to 77977 you will receive a one time reply containing a link to give to Jericho Ridge Community Church (1msg/request). Please be aware that Msg & Data rates may apply. What is Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD)?

If you find that you give the same amount at the same time each month, Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) is a great giving option for you to consider. You can set this up by downloading and completing the PAD authorization form and submitting it to JRCC office or by dropping it into the offering bag on a Sunday morning. Please complete the form in its entirety, with the exception of the Payee Account section, and attach a voided cheque to the PAD form. This will ensure that the set up process is done accurately. Please note that we usually set up PAD transactions on the 1st or 15th of the month.

It can be easy for poverty to become impersonal. We can think in terms of statistics and challenges like migration to the southern border of the USA. But each year, JRCC raises funds and sends people to Central America striving to make it possible for families to stay in Guatemala and achieve a better life for them and their children. We focus our work on women and children and on those with disabilities because they are often the most vulnerable in their culture. - Curtis C.
